When my best mate came to me with a system for the Jockey Challenge you can imagine my initial thoughts.
An unappealing bet type in terms of profitability, the Jockey Challenge is littered with flaws.
If a jockey becomes injured mid-meeting, you do your dough. Horse scratched at the barrier, you do your dough. And then there's the bookie take-out, which sits upwards of 30%.
Alas, you don't earn the privilege of best man at a wedding unless your supportive. I earned that privilege twice thanks to his messy divorce, which I use for humour on a regular basis. Its what mates do.
Anyway, his Jockey Challenge system is surprisingly accurate so I'm giving it a run. If nothing else, to hang shit on him.
His notes are below including the Jockey Challenge tip for the meeting.
Chook's notes:
Friday Night Jockey Challenge at Pakenham with a 9 race card and Jamie Mott our top rater. There’s some value to be found with Blake McDougall rating better than the price suggests with 6 rides. Most jockeys have rides at Moe earlier in the day
