Here is how TBF expects the track to play at Cranbourne on Saturday together with our ratings tip for the meeting.

TRACK: Good 4

TRACKWALKER: The track has been given 12mm of irrigation over the last 48hrs to keep it from getting too firm. We are forecasting on speed, near rail to be advantaged but this will be even more so towards the back end of the card as the track dries. The irrigation should help the backmarkers early on to some degree (pace dependant) but with no advantage being off rail, they have to cover too much ground to get into the race from the 600m-400m. The advantage for on speed runners could see the pace of races increase as the meeting progresses making fitness a greater priority.
