Cox Plate Final Field 2022

The 2022 Cox Plate field has been finalised with 12 runners set to line up in the Weigh-For-Age championship.

Godolphin's glamour boy, Anamoe, who will start hot favourite in the $5million feature drew perfectly in gate 4 while Victoria's premier stable Maher/Eustace are so pleased with how Gold Trip came through the Caulfield Cup they've elected to back him up.

The most interesting runner is Chris Waller's latest acquisition, El Bodegon, who finished third behind Melbourne Cup favourite, Deauville Legend, at his most recent start in Europe's G2 Great Voltigeur Stakes. Damien Oliver will ride the northern hemisphere 3YO, who is now the outright third favourite and brings solid wet form to the Cox Plate.
