Melbourne Cup Bets! 2024

The 164th edition of the Melbourne Cup is upon us again as the first Tuesday in November will see the ‘race that stops a nation’ take centre stage at Flemington..

PHOTO: Melbourne Cup favourite VAUBAN will look to continue a remarkable recent trend of horses that fail at their first attempt to win the Cup

The race itself is worth more than $8million and punters are expected to wager $80 million in turnover on the TAB alone

Below are some stats on the great race that hopefully helps you line your pockets.

Nic Ashman Tip:

“ONESMOOTHOPERATOR is looking to become the 3rd European horse to win the Geelong Cup-Melbourne Cup double in 14 years and the 4th overall with MEDIA PUZZLE in 2002 the other. He beat the Geelong Cup benchmark by 4L and did it easily. Craig Williams is airborne with his recent strike rate well above his lifettime figure.”
