Here is the predicted track pattern and Best Bet for Saturday’s meeting at Flemington.
TRACK
Good
TRACKWALKER INFO
Lane 1 some penalty but not huge. Should play fairly outside of that. Wind could become a factor if it kicks up during the afternoon. We’d suggest looking for mid to wide gates in straight races if it does as the wind is likely to be coming across the track into the side of those down on the rail
PRICE IS RIGHT
The Price-Kent stable have been hugely profitable at Flemington over the past 365 days. If you’d backed each of their runners you’d be up around 68% on your investment

BARRIERS
1200m or less – Straight races, no turn
1400m – Short run to final bend but unless you have gate speed you don’t want to be drawn inside as they can get cluttered up. Sectionals show they quite often sit up once they hit the bend and if you’re three or four back the pegs you can really struggle for a run
NIC ASHMAN TIP
Race 2 No.5 TIMOUR
“Great Aussie debut in a fast run mile here won by Beltoro then struck wet track 2UP. Back on the dry last start over 2000m and he found the line in tremendous fashion clocking some of the best late splits for the day. His best European form is over 2400m + and he gets to this trip for the first time since arriving down under”
