1200m or less – Straight races, no turn
1400m – Short run to final bend but unless you have gate speed you don’t want to be drawn inside as they can get cluttered up. Sectionals show they quite often sit up once they hit the bend and if you’re three or four back the pegs you can really struggle for a run
