We’ve narrowed the race down to runners whose PTP is within 5 lengths of the top-rated performance from any runner this campaign.
I’M THUNDERSTRUCK 95
His peak was over 1600m here at Flemington when he beat Alligator Blood in the Makybe Diva Stakes.
BANKERS CHOICE 95
Massive spike figure out of the Crystal Mile. Hard to see him replicate it.
ANAMOE 93
He’s unbeaten this prep and doing what is needed to win. Don’t be fooled by a modest 93 PTP, he can go better if needed. This rating is out of moderately run races. Give him pace and he’ll run the number.
ZAAKI 93
Wouldn’t surprise us if he runs a PTP here as he prefers dry tracks and Flemington.
MR MAESTRO 93
We can’t have him going any higher but if he holds this number then he could run into the placings if some regress.
ELLIPTICAL 90
This is one horse who is likely to run a PTP as this figure was his most recent run and his first go at 2000m.
SUMMARY
· The only time Anamoe was tested this prep he lifted and won the Might And Power Stakes from a bad spot. We expect him to run a peak if required
· Anamoe, Zaaki and Elliptical are the horses we forecast to run a PTP pending race pace
· We expect Bankers Choice and I’m Thunderstruck to come off their respective peaks especially the former
