During last week’s preview below, we noted that Jacquinot’s winning return in the G3 Manfred Stakes rated 92 and he looked set to eclipse his career peak of 93.
The dual G1 winner rated 94 in the Orr Stakes and is the horse to beat in the Australian Guineas if he goes that way.
GENTLEMEN ROY proved his 1UP 94 this prep was no fluke by clocking the same rating again when losing the Orr Stakes on protest.
Despite getting beaten, I’M THUNDERSTRUCK has run a career best fresh rating of 93 while NUGGET looks a genuine WFA galloper given his previous peak of 92 over 1700m was eclipsed by running a 93 off a short break over 1400m here.
